Set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, we are a professionally run livery yard in Blewbury, offering DIY, part and full livery options to our patrons. Our livery yard has excellent facilities, to enable you to look after your horse, as well as meeting the individual needs of our patrons. We welcome all levels of individuals from 'competition riders' to the 'happy hackers'. Whichever you are, we will always ensure you and your horse receives the care that is required.

Your Livery Facilities
Downside Farm livery yard includes the following facilities:
- BHS Approved Centre
- Floodlit 60 x 20m ménage with sand/rubber fix surface
- Good various size stables with under cover areas for storage
- Easy access to The Downs and Ridgeway (off road hacking)
- Weekly food delivery
- Access to a large stock of straw, hay and shavings
- Over 90 acres of turnout
- 24 hour turnout if required
- Post and rail, electrically-fenced fields
- CCTV security system and sensor alarms

- Fully alarmed and heated tack room

Livery Services
We understand the pressures of work-life balance, along with the importance of quality equine care. For this reason we at Downside Farm pride ourselves on our ability to tailor services to the specific needs of our patrons and equines alike. In doing so we are able to provide a large range of services from turnout livery to DIY, part or full livery. In providing livery in Oxfordshire, we will consider your needs and requirements, tailoring our services where possible to ensure that we meet them fully.
Grass Livery
£40 per week / £173.33 per calendar month

This includes turn out and water supply: use of tying up area, tack-room, use of the outdoor school and cross-country/schooling paddock. Please note – during the winter months we also offer a separate price, including hay, to supplement the horse's diet.
Grass livery options:
- AM & PM at grass: Feed and checks twice daily, including fly sprays, feet picked and so on.
- AM or PM at grass: Feed and checks, including picking feet, fly spray and so on.
- AM or PM at grass: Visual check; no feed etc. given.
Part Livery 5-days
£166.00 per week / £720.00 per calendar month

This includes a stable, turn out mucking out, turning in and out, changing rugs and other general forms of horse care, for example, as well as hosing, picking feet and so on.
- This service also includes the handling for vets, dentists and farriers where appropriate
- Includes the use of the off-road riding, indoor school, outdoor school, and all associating facilities
Please note this service does not include the exercising of the horse, unless specified by the client. All clients are reminded of the importance of regular poo-picking to ensure the high quality of the grazing.
DIY Assisted Livery
Additional £15 per day
This service includes the DIY basic livery, however at one part of the day (morning or evening) end of the day we will 'turn out' or 'bring in'. This will include the change of rugs, hosing of feet, picking out of feet (when appropriate). This service can be provided 7 days a week, with prior notice/booking only.
DIY Basic Livery
£200 per calendar month
Stable and turn out with water supply, includes use of tying up area, tack-room, feed room, use of the outdoor school with a cross-country and schooling paddock.
Daily yard services
Available on request and subject to availability:
- Putting in feed and hay:
- Turn out in field : includes rug changes, boots, etc.
- Bring in from field: includes hosing feet; pick out feet, rug changes, etc.
- Skip out bedding: includes making up feed, hay and water
- Muck out bedding: includes making up feed, hay and water
- Walk in hand: (for 15 minutes)
- Assistance with vet, farrier, dentist
- Frequent hay, straw, shaving, haylage and feed deliveries
